Afreco’s bush adventures include the two week EcoQuest course, the 7 day indigenous cultural course and the the 7 day birding course.

Ecoquest (2 weeks)

The Ecoquest is definitely for the nature and outdoor enthusiast, it is based very much do on the 28 day safari guide course, but has the pressures of course exams removed. It is total wildlife and outdoor experience of the Australian bush and you’ll return with a wealth of knowledge too.

Indigenous Cultural Experience (7 days)

In a similar way this week long course will also re-connect you with nature, from the perspective of the people who know the land better than anyone; the indigenous aboriginal people. You’ll get first hand experience of Indigenous Australian’s past, present, and future and you’ll do this whilst living in a wild bush setting on the Mary River Floodplain, allowing you time to understand this rich, diverse, and ancient culture and land.

Birding (7 days)

The Australian bush in this region is perhaps one of the world best locations in the world for birding. Naturally a birding course in this region has to be conducted from a bush camp – home to 100’s of migratory and resident bird species found no where else. This educational birding week delivers a basic understanding of ornithology and develops a deeper knowledge on the specific bird species found in the Kakadu region. You’ll also have a great outback adventure from this permanent bush camp.
