About the course

Enjoy our 4 Day 3 Night Nature and Cultural Bush experiences at the EcoTraining Australia camp at Swim Creek Station which Borders Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia.

On our courses participants can expect to see hundreds of Agile Wallabies, also salt water crocodiles, goannas, buffalo, the odd dingo and thousands of birds. The floodplains will host hundreds of thousands of magpie geese each year, together with a profusion of egrets, herons, brolgas (one of our two native cranes), Jabirus pictured above (our only stork), ducks, geese, jacanas, eagles, kites, buzzards, goshawks, falcons, and then the parrots and cockatoos, kookaburras/kingfishers.

Location

A key part of the experience and one that sets it apart from any other location in the world is the connection with Australia’s Indigenous people. The Top End of the Northern Territory (particularly Arnhem Land) has retained its Indigenous heritage much more successfully than other parts of Australia and participants will have the chance to hear some of the stories, meet Indigenous Australians and see some of the rock art galleries that are the work of the world’s oldest living culture.
